La Garganta del Diablo

La Garganta del Diablo / The Devil’s Throat

Colombia 2025

A man retraces his father’s fall into the Devil’s Throat through the footage he left behind. Between the water’s echo and the archive’s hollow silence, a void emerges, exposed only when the reflection in the water is no longer theirs but ours. A journey through time, between grief and redemption.

Borrachos mientras escuchamos las gotas caer

Borrachos mientras escuchamos las gotas caer / Drunk hearing the rain drops fall

Colombia 2026

A hybrid documentary of denunciation and reflection about León Ramírez and Isabel Velásquez, an elderly couple worn down by the land that once gave them joy and now slowly kills them through state abuse. At nearly 90, they still run a small store to survive. Their land, ravaged by armed groups and state policies, is now a purgatory where fruit rots on the ground. Powerless, they close their shop and bury themselves alive in their land, embodying old age, abandonment, uprootedness and resistance.

Geografía Espectral

Geografía Espectral / Spectral Geography

Colombia 2026
Manuel Mateo

On the shores of a hydroelectric dam, whose construction buried the ancient course of the Cauca River, a group of women gathers to embroider. They cast flowers into the water to summon their dead, in a landscape stitched together with threads of memory and resistance. The spirits of the bodies once thrown into the river—now lying beneath the unfinished dam—drift alongside the fish. The souls rise, cloaked in fire, to hear the songs sent to them by their mothers and sisters among the living.
