En cada edición, BOGOSHORTS al tablero ofrece espacios de formación para nuevos y futuros realizadores, así como para todas las personas interesadas en el cine y, especialmente, en los formatos cortos. Desde este escenario académico, buscamos poner en diálogo los cambios de la creación audiovisual con los desafíos actuales del sector, promoviendo reflexiones que trascienden la pantalla y fortalecen el pensamiento cinematográfico.
En esta edición de BOGOSHORTS al tablero, queremos que el público escuche a algunos de nuestros invitados especiales, pero también que se conecte con especialistas colombianos que abordan los temas que atraviesan nuestra programación y las transformaciones del cortometraje en sus diferentes campos. Tres paneles conforman la oferta académica de este año, en el formato de charlas abiertas al público que dialogan con los programas especiales y las nuevas rutas que el festival propone para pensar el corto desde sus múltiples expresiones.
Con la apertura de la nueva categoría de Corto Periodístico y fortaleciendo nuestras secciones dedicadas al videoclip y al corto de redes, esta edición de BOGOSHORTS reafirma su propósito de expandirse más allá del cine tradicional y consolidarse como un espacio que explora las industrias del cortometraje. El festival no solo celebra la creación cinematográfica, sino también las múltiples formas en que el formato corto se adapta y evoluciona en diálogo con otras disciplinas y plataformas.
A partir de esta mirada, tres paneles reunirán a realizadores, periodistas, artistas urbanos y profesionales del sector para reflexionar sobre los cruces entre el cine y otras formas de creación y comunicación. Desde el poder de la imagen para informar y construir verdad en los cortos periodísticos, pasando por las conversaciones sobre bienestar y cuidado en los rodajes musicales en el universo del videoclip, hasta los vínculos entre graffiti y cine como lenguajes que transforman la ciudad, estas charlas abren el panorama sobre las rutas que hoy recorren los creadores del corto en Colombia y el mundo.
Para este 2025, en la edición Perdernos para encontrarnos, seguimos celebrando el formato corto desde nuestros espacios de formación. En esa búsqueda de nuevas rutas y reencuentros con el cine, la oferta pedagógica se amplía con los WorkSHORTS, experiencias prácticas de creación y aprendizaje, de las cuales encontrará más información aquí mismo.
Y finalmente, los Encuentros Cercanos llegarán a las distintas salas de la Cinemateca de Bogotá y a la plazoleta de CityU, donde el público podrá dialogar y compartir con nuestros invitados. Mientras tanto, la programación académica, abierta a todo público, se desarrollará enteramente en la Sala Capital de la Cinemateca de Bogotá, con acceso prioritario para personas acreditadas y transmisión en vivo a través de la página de Facebook de @bogoshorts.
In each edition, BOGOSHORTS al tablero offers educational opportunities for new and future filmmakers, as well as for anyone interested in cinema and, especially, short films. From this academic scenario, we seek to bring a dialogue between changes in audiovisual creation and the current challenges facing the sector, promoting reflections that transcend the screen and strengthen cinematic thinking.
In this edition of BOGOSHORTS al tablero, we want the audience to listen some of our special guests, but also to connect with Colombian specialists who address the subjects that intersect our programming and the transformations of short films in their different fields. Three panels conform this year's academic offering, in the format of talks open to the public that engage with the special programs and new routes that the festival proposes for thinking about short films from their multiple expressions.
With the introduction of the new Journalistic Short Film category and the strengthening of our sections dedicated to music videos and social media shorts, this edition of BOGOSHORTS reaffirms its goal of expanding beyond traditional cinema and establishing itself as a space that explores the short film industry. The festival not only celebrates filmmaking, it also celebrates the multiple ways in which the short format adapts and evolves in dialogue with other disciplines and platforms.
From this perspective, three panels will bring together filmmakers, journalists, urban artists, and professionals from the sector to reflect on the intersections between cinema and other forms of creation and communication. From the power of images to inform and construct truth in journalistic shorts, to conversations about well-being and care in music video shoots, to the links between graffiti and cinema as languages that transform the city, these talks open up the panorama on the routes that short film creators are currently taking in Colombia and around the world.
For 2025, in the edition Perdernos para encontrarnos (Losing ourselves to find ourselves), we continue to celebrate the short format from our formative spaces. In this search for new paths and reencounters with cinema, the educational offering is expanded with WorkSHORTS, practical experiences in creation and learning, about which you can find more information here.
Finally, Encuentros Cercanos (Close Encounters) will come to the different theaters of the Cinemateca de Bogotá and the CityU plaza, where the public will be able to talk and share with our guests. Meanwhile, the academic program, open to the general public, will take place entirely in the Sala Capital of the Cinemateca de Bogotá, with priority access for accredited individuals and live streaming via the @bogoshorts Facebook page.
