Criticar, programar y curar, ¿es cuestión de género? /Criticism, programming and curation; a question of gender?
La crítica de cine se alimenta de contextos históricos, sociales, políticos, económicos y culturales. El feminismo, por su parte, se ha enmarcado en diferentes luchas sociales como el sufragio, la construcción de identidad y la reivindicación sociocultural. Estas luchas se traducen tanto en realidades como en deudas históricas. Hoy, partimos de la idea de crítica cinematográfica sobre los imaginarios de la mujer y sus representaciones para hablar sobre la crítica social. Por esto, se hace necesario preguntarnos ¿qué es lo que estamos criticando y desde dónde lo hacemos?, ¿cuáles son las miradas femeninas en la crítica, curaduría y programación?, ¿por qué a las creadoras se les exige expresarse como embajadoras del género?
Film criticism feeds on historical, social, political, economic and cultural contexts. Feminism, for its part, has been framed in different social struggles such as suffrage, the construction of identity and sociocultural demands. These struggles translate into both realities and historical debts. Today, we take the idea of film criticism about the imaginary of women and their representation to talk about social criticism. For this reason, it is necessary to ask ourselves, what is it that we are criticizing and from which position do we do it? What are the female gazes in criticism, curation and programming? Why are female creators required to express themselves as ambassadors of the gender?
