Guadalupe Arensburg (España / Spain)
Directora del Departamento de Cortometrajes de Movistar+, donde lidera la selección, adquisición y programación de cortometrajes y series de animación nacionales e internacionales, así como la evaluación de coproducciones. Es co-creadora y co-directora del laboratorio internacional de animación Bridging the Gap, Animation Lab y comisaria de la muestra Ellas son Cine, dedicada a las directoras africanas. Ha formado parte de los comités evaluadores de ayudas y subvenciones en España, Colombia y Argentina. Es autora del libro Cinematografías de África. Un encuentro con sus protagonistas. Además, asesora proyectos de largometraje, series y cortometrajes de animación para reconocidos estudios internacionales.
Director of the Short Films Department at Movistar+, where she leads the selection, acquisition, and programming of national and international short films and animated series, as well as the evaluation of co-productions. She is co-creator and co-director of the international animation laboratory Bridging the Gap, Animation Lab, and curator of the exhibition Ellas son Cine, dedicated to African female directors. She has been a member of grant and subsidy evaluation committees in Spain, Colombia, and Argentina. She is the author of the book Cinematografías de África. Un encuentro con sus protagonistas (Cinematographies of Africa. An encounter with its protagonists). She also advises on feature film, series, and animated short film projects for renowned international studios.
Jairo Pinilla (Colombia / Colombia)
Director, guionista y productor caleño, considerado el padre del terror y la ciencia ficción en Colombia. Ingeniero electrónico de formación, dejó la técnica para entregarse al cine, convirtiéndose en pionero de los efectos especiales en el país. Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran Funeral siniestro (1977), una de las primeras películas de terror colombianas, Área maldita (1980) y 27 horas con la muerte (1981). Fue homenajeado en el Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Sitges con una retrospectiva de su obra. Su mirada, entre lo popular y lo macabro, transformó los límites del cine nacional, haciendo del miedo, el exceso y lo inverosímil un territorio propio dentro de la historia del cine colombiano.
Director, screenwriter, and producer from Cali, considered the father of horror and science fiction in Colombia. Trained as an electronic engineer, he left technology behind to devote himself to cinema, becoming a pioneer of special effects in the country. Among his most notable works are Funeral siniestro (1977), one of the first Colombian horror films, Área maldita (1980) and 27 horas con la muerte (1981). He was honored at the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival with a retrospective of his work. His vision, somewhere between the popular and the macabre, transformed the boundaries of national cinema, making fear, excess, and the implausible his own territory within the history of Colombian cinema.
Jenny Nava (Colombia / Colombia)
Actriz caleña y licenciada en Bellas Artes, reconocida por su fuerza interpretativa y su trabajo en cine, teatro y televisión. Se dio a conocer por sus papeles en Yo soy otro (2008) y Los funerales de Óscar Campo, y en A tus espaldas (2011) de Tito Jara (Ecuador). En 2023 protagonizó El otro hijo de Juan Sebastián Quebrada, estrenada en el Festival de San Sebastián y seleccionada a los Premios Goya 2024. Por este papel ganó el Premio Macondo y el Premio a Mejor Actriz en el Festival de Punta del Este. También protagoniza Querido trópico (2024), premiada en Biarritz. Su trayectoria escénica incluye Tinnitus de Felipe Aljure y Crónica, el lunar en la frente de Enrique Buenaventura, además de una constante labor en proyectos formativos y artísticos independientes.
An actress from Cali with a degree in Fine Arts, she is renowned for her powerful performances and her work in film, theater, and television. She became known for her roles in Yo soy otro (2008) and Los funerales de Óscar Campo, and in A tus espaldas (2011) by Tito Jara (Ecuador). In 2023, she starred in El otro hijo by Juan Sebastián Quebrada, which premiered at the San Sebastián Film Festival and was selected for the 2024 Goya Awards. For this role, she won the Macondo Award and the Best Actress Award at the Punta del Este Film Festival. She also stars in Querido trópico (2024), which won an award in Biarritz. Her stage career includes Tinnitus by Felipe Aljure and Crónica, el lunar en la frente by Enrique Buenaventura, as well as ongoing work in independent educational and artistic projects.
