Roberto Fiesco (México)
Productor, director, investigador y docente de cine. Egresado del Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos de la UNAM y de la Escuela Nacional de Arte Teatral del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes. Ha producido numerosas películas, como ‘Mil nubes de paz cercan el cielo, amor, jamás acabarás de ser amor’ y ‘Rabioso sol, rabioso cielo’, dirigidas por Julián Hernández, estrenadas en la Berlinale y ganadoras del Teddy Award; entre otras dirigidas por Aarón Fernández, Jorge Pérez Solano, Iria Gómez Concheiro y Arturo Ripstein. Con su ópera prima documental, ‘Quebranto’, y su cortometraje ‘Trémulo’, ganó el premio Ariel y otros premios a nivel internacional. Es productor de la serie ‘El juego de las llaves’ de Amazon Prime, y recientemente estrenó ‘Rencor tatuado’, de Julián Hernández, en salas de cine y Netflix. También conduce programas de radio y televisión sobre cine.
Film producer, director, researcher and professor. Graduated from the University Center for Cinematographic Studies of UNAM and the National School of Theater Art of the National Institute of Fine Arts. He has produced numerous films, such as ‘Mil nubes de paz cercan el cielo, amor, jamás acabarás de ser amor’ and ‘Rabioso sol, rabioso cielo’, directed by Julián Hernández, premiered at the Berlinale and winners of the Teddy Award; among other films directed by Aarón Fernández, Jorge Pérez Solano, Iria Gómez Concheiro and Arturo Ripstein. With his documentary debut feature, ‘Quebranto’, and his short film ‘Trémulo’, he won the Ariel award and other international awards. He is the producer of the Amazon Prime series ‘El juego de las llaves’, and recently premiered ‘Rencor tatuado’, by Julián Hernández, in movie theaters and Netflix. He also hosts radio and TV shows about cinema.
Iván D. Gaona (Colombia)
Director y guionista de cine nacido en Güepsa (Santander, Colombia) en 1980. Escribió y dirigió los cortometrajes ‘Los retratos’ (2011), ‘El tiple’ (2012), ‘Completo’ (2013), ‘Naranjas’ (2013), ‘Forastero’ (2014) y ‘Volver’ (2015), presentados y premiados en más de 200 festivales de cine alrededor del mundo, entre ellos, BOGOSHORTS. En 2016 estrenó su ópera prima ‘Pariente’ en la sección Venice Days del Festival de Cine de Venecia, también presentada en Toronto, Varsovia, La Habana, entre otros, siendo la película que representó a Colombia para la categoría de Mejor Película Extranjera para los Premios Óscar 2018. Con su empresa La ContraBANDA ha producido desde 2018 las series de televisión ‘Adiós al amigo’ (2019), ‘Libertador’ (2020), los cortometrajes ‘Bailando’ (2020), ‘Chicas de oro’ (2021), y se encuentra desarrollando varios largometrajes y series de televisión.
Film director and screenwriter born in Güepsa (Santander, Colombia) in 1980. In 2016 he premiered his debut feature ‘Pariente‘ in the Venice Days section of the Venice Film Festival, also presented in Toronto, Warsaw, Havana, among others, being the film that represented Colombia for the category of Best Foreign Film for the Oscars 2018. With his company La ContraBANDA he has produced since 2018 the television series ‘Adiós al amigo‘ (2019), ‘Libertador‘ (2020), the short films ‘Bailando‘ (2020), ‘Chicas de oro‘ (2021), and is developing several feature films and television series.
Sébastien Simon (Francia - Corea del Sur / France - South Korea)
Nacido en 1983 en Francia y ahora residente en Busan, Corea del Sur, Sébastien Simon es cineasta, profesor invitado en la Universidad de Dongseo, programador del Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Busan, miembro de la junta directiva de la Short Film Conference y escritor colaborador de la revista Busan Beat. Sus últimos trabajos de dirección incluyen ‘One-minded’ (2014), ‘Tetsu Kono’s Crazy Routine’ (2016) y ‘The Troubled Troubadour’ (2016). Se graduó de la escuela de cine E.S.E.C. y de la Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.
Born 1983 in France, and now living in Busan, Korea, Sébastien Simon is a filmmaker, a Guest Professor at Dongseo University, a programmer for Busan International Short Film Festival, a board member of the Short Film Conference, and a contributing writer for Busan Beat magazine. His latest directing works include ‘One-minded’ (2014), ‘Tetsu Kono’s Crazy Routine’ (2016) and ‘The Troubled Troubadour’ (2016). He graduated from the E.S.E.C. film school and from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.
