Volvemos con una Incubadora BFM recargada. Recordemos qué es lo que aquí sucede: Este espacio tiene como espíritu el intercambio y la idea de poder llegar a la coproducción a través de procesos de networking y múltiples jornadas de encuentros uno a uno. Por un lado, participan productores audiovisuales que buscan financiación para hacer realidad sus proyectos de cortometraje. Estos pueden ser de ficción, documental y experimental, y pueden estar en diferentes etapas (desarrollo, preproducción, rodaje, postproducción y distribución). Del otro, participan empresas y profesionales del sector audiovisual que prestan diferentes servicios cinematográficos, con el objetivo de cerrar posibles alianzas.
Desde el 2021 decidimos ampliar el espectro de alcance de la Incubadora BFM, atendiendo también proyectos de Iberoamérica. Ese objetivo ha caminado lenta pero contundentemente, no ha sido fácil por las dificultades que implica el despla- zamiento y porque por el momento queremos limitar a lo estrictamente necesario los encuentros on line. Sin embargo, este año tendremos más de 10 proyectos que representan ese potencial mercado de América Latina y España. Solo los años venideros nos dejarán ver como crecen esas semillas de conexión que estamos empezando a sembrar.
Además de los dos estímulos que hemos sostenido y consolidado en los últimos años: Fast track a Euro Connection en el marco del Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (Francia) y a Emergente! Cine Lab, Laboratorio de Desarrollo y Foro de Coproducción Internacional de Cortometrajes en Madrid, este año un tercer proyecto se verá beneficiado por la Incubadora BFM gracias a Congo Films, quienes se suman como socios del mercado para apoyar el impulso de más proyectos.
This year the spirit of the BFM Incubator is collaboration. This space was born as a co-pro- duction meeting designed around a day of one-to-one meetings. On the one hand, audiovisual producers seeking funding to make their short film projects a reality will participate. These projects can be fiction, documentary, animation and experimental, and can be in different stages (development, pre-production, shooting, post-production and distribution). On the other hand, companies and professionals from the audiovisual sector that provide different film-related services, participate with the aim of making possible alliances or co-productions
This year the Incubator, in its process of expanding the possibility of creating connections and possible encounters with other cinematographic languages, will award a prize to a winning project selected by the allies, and will receive a direct Fast Track to La Petite Fabrique, Euro Connection 2023 in the framework of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France), with the possibility of attendance by its director or producer thanks to the support of the Festival, BOGOSHORTS - Bogotá Short Film Festival and the French Embassy in Colombia. In addition, another winning project selected by the allies will receive a Fast track directly to the selection of international projects of Emergente! Cine Lab, Development Lab and International Short Film Co-Production Forum, organized by AIC (Short Film Industry Association) in Madrid, with the possibility of attendance by its director or producer.
Additionally, the Incubator reopened the call for participants from Ibero-America, enabling the internationalization processes for the consolidation, financing and subsequent circula- tion of the projects. After a solid and strong call, around 100 projects were received from countries such as Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Chile, Cuba, Uruguay, among others. The selected short film projects stood out for their originality, relevance and solidity, and their directors and producers are now preparing to make the most of the meetings they will have during the BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market.
