Cali, Colombia, 1975. Director y guionista de cine, comerciales y televisión, cuya filmografía busca empujar los límites del cine de género en Colombia. Entre 1995 y 1999, cursó estudios de Deug, la Licence y la Maîtrise en Arts du Spectacle Mention Études Cinématographiques en la Université de Rennes II (Francia). Con su ópera prima, El páramo (2011), recibió el Premio Citizen Kane al Director Revelación en la edición 44 del Festival de Cine Fantástico de Sitges, España, el mayor festival de cine fantástico del mundo, además del premio a Mejor Guion Iberoamericano en el Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara. Su segundo largometraje de ficción, Siete cabezas (2017), tuvo su estreno mundial en el 33° Festival Internacional de Cine de Varsovia. Entre 2013 y 2017 escribió el largometraje Mostro (aka Asilo) y la primera temporada de una serie de televisión que se rodará en 2018.

Between 1995 and 1999, he studied Deug, la License and la Maîtrise in the Arts du Spectacle Mention Études Cinématographiques at the Université de Rennes II (France). With his debut film, ‘El páramo’ (2011), he received the Citizen Kane Award for Revelation director at the 44th edition of the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival, Spain, the biggest fantasy film festival in the world, in addition to the Best Ibero-American Script award in the Guadalajara International Film Festival. His second feature film, ‘Siete cabezas’ (2017), had its world premiere at the 33° Warsaw International Film Festival. Between 2013 and 2017 he wrote the feature film ‘Mostro (aka Asilo)’ and the first season of a TV series that will be shot in 2018.

Estudió publicidad en la Universidad UPV-EHU y más tarde trabajó como asistente de fotografía y realizadora para revistas, y como publicista creativa con las agencias Leo Burnett Iberia y Social Noise. Su primer cortometraje de ficción, Disco Inferno (2015), obtuvo nominaciones en 67 festivales de cine internacionales, estando entre las favoritas del público en Palm Springs, Fantasía, Sitges y Fantastic Fest, el que primero la premió como Mejor Director y Silver Feature Film Project en su mercado de películas. Tras doce otras victorias internacionales del festival, Disco Inferno se convirtió en el corto de género español más exitoso dirigido por una mujer, dentro del circuito internacional de festivales. Está comenzando la producción de su primer largometraje Paradise Hills, escrito por Brian DeLeeuw y Nacho Vigalondo.
She studied advertising in the UPV-EHU University and later worked as an assistant of photography and filmmaker for several magazines, and advertising creative with the agencies Leo Burnett Iberia and Social Noise. Her first narrative short film, ‘Disco Inferno’ (2015), obtained nominations in 67 international film festivals including fan favorites at Palm Springs, Fantasia, Sitges and Fantastic Fest, which first awarded her as Best Director and Silver Feature Film Project of its film market. Twelve other international festival wins ensued, making ‘Disco Inferno’ into the most successful Spanish genre short directed by a woman within the international festival circuit. She is beginning the production of her first feature film, Paradise Hills, written by Brian DeLeeuw y Nacho Vigalondo.

Bogotá, Colombia, 1977. Maestro en Artes Plásticas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia con énfasis en pintura y teoría del arte. Se ha desempeñado a lo largo de su carrera profesional como diseñador de producción, director de arte y escenógrafo en algunas de las películas colombianas más renombradas de los últimos años, así como en numerosos cortometrajes, series de televisión y web. Es responsable de la Dirección de Arte de Siete Cabezas de Jaime Osorio, Violencia de Jorge Forero, El Abrazo de la Serpiente de Ciro Guerra, entre otras. Es docente de Dirección de Arte en la carrera de Cine y Televisión de la Universidad Agustiniana, en la carrera de Diseño de Producción de Televisión en Taller Cinco y en la Escuela Nacional de Cine - ENACC.
Bogotá, Colombia, 1977. Master of Fine Arts from the National University of Colombia with an emphasis in painting and art theory. He has worked throughout his professional career as a production designer, art director and set designer in some of the most renowned Colombian films of the past years, as well as in several short films, TV and web series. He is responsible for the Art Direction of ‘Siete Cabezas’ by Jaime Osorio Márquez, ‘Violencia’ by Jorge Forero, ‘El abrazo de la serpiente’ by Ciro Guerra, among others. He teaches Art Direction in the Film and TV career at Universidad Agustiniana; in the Television Production Design career of Taller Cinco and at the National Film School - ENACC.
