BOGOSHORTS FESTIVAL

Este es el diario no tan secreto de Raquel

Escribí tres diarios entre intervalos de edad que iban desde preadolescente hasta comienzos de la edad adulta. Siempre que volvía a casa de mi madre los encontraba. Decidí leerlos de golpe y me di cuenta de un problema: que versaban sobre el mismo tema, los chicos.

I wrote three diaries between age intervals ranging from pre-adolescent to early adulthood. Whenever I returned to my mothers house I would find them. I decided to read them all at once and realized a problem: they were all about the same subject, boys.

Lava

Tras la separación de sus padres, Berta (7) va con su madre y su hermana a pasar unos días de verano a la casa de campo de su abuela. Durante la hora de la siesta, mientras los adultos duermen, su primo Jorge (15) se ofrece para enseñarle a montar en bicicleta. El adolescente es atento y cuidadoso con ella, hasta que el ambiente se enrarece.

After her parents divorce, Berta (7) goes with her mother and sister to spend a few summer days at her grandmothers country house. During naptime, while the adults are asleep, her cousin Jorge (15) offers to teach her how to ride a bicycle. The teenager is attentive and careful with her, until the atmosphere becomes strained.

Ronda

La ciudad periférica de lHospitalet hereda un espíritu combativo, el de la lucha por conquistar un espacio propio. Ahora, los adolescentes que pueblan la periferia toman este legado, el deseo de liberarse de la artificialidad urbanística, y convierten la ciudad en un espacio donde jugar y desafiar los límites. El barrio nos explica un relato: el del impulso humano e irrefrenable de poder escoger nuestros caminos.

The peripheral city of lHospitalet inherits a combative spirit, that of the struggle to conquer its own space. Now, the teenagers who populate the periphery take this legacy, the desire to free themselves from urban artificiality, and turn the city into a space where they can play and defy limits. The neighborhood tells us a story: that of the human and irrepressible impulse to be able to choose our own paths.

A Street View

Es de noche. Sara debe entregar un pedido cuanto antes en otro barrio de la ciudad. Montada en su bicicleta trata de mantener su estabilidad, la de su cuenta bancaria y la de su relación sentimental.

It is nighttime. Sara must deliver an order as soon as possible in another part of the city. Riding her bicycle, she tries to maintain her stability, that of her bank account and that of her relationship.

Estigma

Esta es la historia de superación de una mujer marcada por una vida llena de obstáculos. Una luchadora capaz de vencer hasta sus propios demonios.

This is the overcoming story of a woman marked by a life full of obstacles. A fighter capable of overcoming even her own demons.

Vas a ser mi memoria siempre

Este es un cortometraje que trata recuerdos, pero también historia. Una historia que utiliza a mi abuela de nexo para hablar de la parálisis que genera la desaparición de la industria en un territorio, así como de la necesidad de no mitificar el pasado y poder aprender de él.

This is a short film that deals with memories, but also with history. A story that uses my grandmother as a nexus to talk about the paralysis generated by the disappearance of the industry in a territory, as well as the need to not mythologize the past and learn from it.
