Arnulfo Herrada es un maestro pintor que durante el día ayuda a construir el paisaje gráfico urbano bogotano decorando fachadas con anuncios de platos típicos para restaurantes, botellitas de bebidas gaseosas y cervezas para cigarrerías y tiendas de barrio, logos de carros y marcas de baterías y aceites para talleres mecánicos y prendas de vestir para almacenes de ropa. De noche, entre sueños, viaja fuera de la ciudad hasta los confines del universo guiado por seres de otra dimensión quienes le revelan verdades del fin de los tiempos, le muestran ciudades de luz en otros mundos, lo confrontan con presencias divinas del bien y del mal y le hablan de los pecados que llevarán a la humanidad a una terrible y dolorosa extinción.
Populardelujo presenta una selección de 19 revelaciones que le han sido dadas a Arnulfo y que ha pintado con su mano maestra y su estilo inconfundible a lo largo de los últimos años.
Populardelujo es un colectivo integrado por Juan Esteban Duque, Roxana Martínez y Esteban Ucrós que desde 2001 se dedica a explorar, documentar y visibilizar la gráfica popular bogotana y colombiana.
Arnulfo Herrada is a master painter who, during the day, helps shape the urban landscape of Bogotá by decorating facades with advertisements for typical dishes for restaurants, bottles of soft drinks and beers for cigarette shops and neighborhood stores, car logos and brands of batteries and oils for auto repair shops, and clothing for clothing stores. At night, in his dreams, he travels outside the city to the ends of the universe, guided by beings from another dimension who reveal truths about the end of time, show him cities of light in other worlds, confront him with divine presences of good and evil, and tell him about the sins that will lead humanity to a terrible and painful extinction.
Populardelujo presents a selection of 19 revelations that have been given to Arnulfo and that he has painted with his masterful hand and unmistakable style over the last few years.
Populardelujo is a collective integrated by Juan Esteban Duque, Roxana Martínez, and Esteban Ucrós that since 2001 has been dedicated to exploring, documenting, and making visible popular graphics from Bogotá and Colombia.
