Un relato de la creación del mundo desde Nueva Venecia, una de las últimas culturas anfibias de Colombia, que vive entre la cruda realidad de la subsistencia y la densa oscuridad de un contexto ecológico que no da tregua y busca sin parar recordarnos nuestro limitado tiempo humano.
A tale about the creation of the world from Nueva Venecia, a town adapted to life on water like no other. Through oral tradition we navigate between the harsh reality of subsistence and the dense darkness of an ecological context that does not give up and constantly seeks to remind us of our limited human time.
Jorge Panchoaga
Antropólogo de la Universidad del Cauca y especialista en Fotografía de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. ‘Dulce y salada’, su primer cortometraje experimental, es el resultado de 8 años de trabajo en la Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta explorando las relaciones que han construido sus habitantes con este cuerpo de agua. Actualmente es explorador de la National Geographic Society y fotógrafo representante de Fujifilm a nivel mundial.
Anthropologist from University of Cauca and specialist in Photography from the National University of Colombia. He directed and produced his first experimental short film, ‘Sweet and Salty’, as a result of 8 years of work in Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta, documenting the relationships that the inhabitants of this area have built with this body of water. He is currently an explorer for National Geographic Society and a photographer representing Fujifilm globally.
