En la cúspide de un cataclismo en el pequeño pueblo costero de Manzanillo (Costa Rica) los adolescentes locales comparten sus historias, mentiras y fantasías. Jugando entre ruinas y escombros, y expresando su hastío por la falta de cambios, los niños de Manzanillo participan en una fabulación colectiva, encontrando estrategias para construir un nuevo mundo a partir del viejo.
As a magical moon creeps in the twilight, different timelines entwine in the town of Manzanillo, located in the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The youth and the elderly unite and collide in a tale where the town is able to exist as it is: both beautiful and abandoned, mysterious and monotonous.

Kim Torres
Kim Torres es una guionista y directora costarricense nacida en 1993. Su cortometraje LUZ NOCTURNA (2022) se estrenó en la Selección Oficial de Cortometrajes del Festival de Cannes 75, convirtiéndose en el primer filme costarricense en competir por la Palma de Oro. Su corto ATRAPALUZ (2021) se estrenó en la competencia internacional del Festival de Locarno 74. Actualmente desarrolla su ópera prima SI NO ARDEMOS CÓMO ILUMINAR LA NOCHE.
Kim Torres is a Costa Rican screenwriter and director born in 1993. Her short film NIGHT LIGHT (2022) premiered in the Official Short Film Selection of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, becoming the first Costa Rican film to compete for the Palme d'Or. Her short film SUNCATCHER (2021) premiered in the international competition at the Locarno Film Festival 74. At the moment she is developing her feature film IF WE DON'T BURN HOW DO WE LIGHT UP THE NIGHT.
