Nuestro 6° BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market tendrá como evento de apertura una masterclass exclusiva realizada por el artista y creador audiovisual, NIETO. Basándose en su estilo multicultural y multidisciplinario, NIETO abordará la interconectividad entre las artes plásticas y el cine, además de las oportunidades creativas que presenta este tipo de obra al circular en espacios alternativos, diferente a la sala de cine.
Como poeta de la hecatombe, nos proyecta dulcemente ante el reflejo de nuestro propio abismo. NIETO ha podido abordar diferentes expresiones artísticas desde la pintura, la animación, la música, el cine, la videoinstalación, el performance, la dirección de óperas, la publicidad, entre otras. Su obra dialoga constantemente sobre la primitividad del ser humano, la moral, la veracidad, el lenguaje cinematográfico y rompe el discurso del artista plástico efectivo, para posicionarse como demiurgo de diferentes lenguas y culturas.
NIETO
Colombiano de nacimiento, afincado en París y expulsado de la École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de París en 2009, Nieto es un artista de medios mixtos, hoy representado por la galería Da-End de Francia, que trabaja como pintor, músico, cineasta/performer y, más recientemente, como director visual escénico de Óperas.
El extraño mundo de Nieto es barroco e irónico, y mezcla la ficción con una gran dosis de humor seco e intrigantes trucos visuales.
Su visión artística también se ha adaptado lúdicamente al mundo de la publicidad; actualmente está representado como director en Europa, Asia, Rusia y Estados Unidos.
Ha dirigido varios anuncios de televisión para marcas conocidas desde 2005.

Our 6th BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market will have as its opening event an exclusive masterclass by the artist and audiovisual creator, NIETO. Based on his multicultural and multidisciplinary style, NIETO will address the interconnectivity between visual arts and cinema, as well as the creative opportunities that this type of work presents when circulating in alternative spaces, different from the movie theater.
As a poet of the hecatomb, he sweetly projects us before the reflection of our own abyss. NIETO has been able to approach different artistic expressions from painting, animation, music, cinema, video installation, performance, opera direction, advertising, among others. His work constantly dialogues about the primitiveness of the human being, morality, truthfulness, cinematographic language and breaks the discourse of the effective plastic artist, to position himself as a demiurge of different languages and cultures.

Colombian born, Paris based and expelled from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Paris in 2009, Nieto is a mixed-media artist; today he is represented by Da-End Gallery in France, he works as a painter, musician, filmmaker/performer and most recently as stage visual director of Operas.
Nieto‘s weird world is baroque and ironic, blending fiction with a high streak of dry humor and intriguing visual tricks.
His artistic view has also playfully adapted into the advertising world; he is currently represented as a director in Europe, Asia, Russia and USA.
