(Rabat, 1973) Ha publicado varias novelas con Éditions du Seuil, que han sido traducidas en Europa y Estados Unidos: El día del rey (Prix de Flore 2010), Un pays pour mourir (PEN America Literary Awards 2021) y Vivre a ta lumiere (2022). En 2014, dirigió su primera película, The Salvation Army. Basada en su novela homónima, la película fue seleccionada por el Festival de Venecia y el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto.
