El Teatro Colón de Bogotá es el teatro nacional de Colombia, caracterizado por su estilo es neoclásico y su fachada de orden dórico toscano,fue inaugurado el 12 de octubre de 1892 para conmemorar el cuarto centenario del descubrimiento de América. El Teatro Colón fue declarado Monumento Nacional por el decreto 1584 del 11 de agosto de 1975. Este histórico escenario actualmente hace parte del Centro Nacional de las Artes Delia Zapata Olivella del Ministerio de las Culturas, los Artes y los Saberes.
En este 2024 el teatro será por primera vez un escenario de BOGOSHORTS, donde se celebrará la Noche de Santa Lucía, el evento de premiación y clausura de la edición 22° del festival y de la edición 8° del BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market.
The Colon Theater of Bogota is the national theater of Colombia, characterized by its neoclassical style and its Tuscan Doric facade, was inaugurated on October 12, 1892 to commemorate the fourth centenary of the discovery of America. The Colon Theater was declared a National Monument by decree 1584 of August 11, 1975. This historic stage is currently part of the Delia Zapata Olivella National Center for the Arts of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge.
In 2024, the theater will be for the first time a stage for BOGOSHORTS, where the Night of Santa Lucia, the awards and closing ceremony of the 22nd edition of the festival and the 8th edition of the BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market will be held.
