Tras la muerte de su padre ausente, la cineasta Dominique Jeanneret sigue el rastro de los objetos y las imágenes que él dejó grabadas para reconstruir su mirada y preguntarse si es posible conectar con alguien a quien no conoció.
After the death of her absent father, filmmaker Dominique Jeanneret follows the traces he left behind—cameras and images he recorded—to reconstruct his gaze and question whether it is possible to connect with someone she barely knew.
Dominique Jeanneret
Realizadora nacida en Bogotá, antropóloga graduada de la Universidad de los Andes. Realizó estudios de posgrado en Francia, donde obtuvo una maestría en Teoría Cinematográfica y otra en Antropología Visual y Cine Documental en la Universidad Paris Nanterre. Su trabajo se caracteriza por el cruce entre el cine y la antropología, dos campos que le han permitido explorar la relación entre las imágenes, la memoria y las formas de narrar lo humano.
Filmmaker born in Bogotá, and an Anthropology graduate from Universidad de los Andes. She pursued postgraduate studies in France, obtaining a Master’s degree in Film Theory and another in Visual Anthropology and Documentary Film at Paris Nanterre University. Her work is characterized by the intersection of film and anthropology, two fields that have allowed her to explore the relationship between images, memory, and the ways of narrating the human.
