Ha ganado múltiples premios como el Premio de Plata Kaneto Shindo, el premio a nuevo director del Festival de Cine de Yokohama y el premio a mejor director del Festival de Cine Takasaki, por su película 'Sacred Youth'. También ha realizado las películas 'Space Brothers' y 'Parallel World Love Story'.
