A las 5 de la mañana, Yalla tiene prisa. Sin permiso de su jefe, abandona su turno de noche como auxiliar de enfermería. Sube a un autobús con una pesada bolsa llena de ropa. La ciudad sigue dormida. Yalla dibuja en un papel las líneas de autobús que debe tomar. Es la primera vez que hace este viaje... su hijo la espera.
At 5 in the morning, Yalla is in a hurry. Without her bosses permission, she leaves her night shift as a nursing assistant. She boards a bus, carrying only a heavy bag filled with clothes. The city is still asleep. Yalla sketches out on a piece of paper the various bus lines she needs to take. Its her first time making this journey... her son is waiting for her.
Léo Fontaine
(Chatenay-Malabry, 1994) Estudió cine y dirección en la escuela 3IS entre 2013 y 2016. Su último cortometraje, Qu importe la distance fue producido por Offshore y distribuido por Manifest. La película sigue el viaje de una madre que visita por primera vez a su hijo en prisión. Su primer largometraje, Jeunesse, mon amour, coproducido por Poly Films y Améthyste Films y distribuido por Wayna Pitch, se estrenó en cines en abril de 2024.
(Chatenay-Malabry, 1994) He studied cinema and directing at the 3IS school, from 2013 to 2016. His last short film, Quimporte la distance was produced by Offshore and distributed by Manifest. The film follows the journey of a mother who visits her son in prison for the first time. His first feature film, Jeunesse, mon amour, co-produced by Poly Films and Améthyste Films and distributed by Wayna Pitch, was released in cinemas in April 2024.
