En las montañas de Colombia, Juan, un niño indígena campesino de 13 años, se ve obligado a huir del monstruo de la guerra. En su huida, entre el silbido de las balas y la guía de sus ancestros, despierta un poder ancestral que lo transforma en Tuktu: un Taita de fuerza extraordinaria, destinado a regresar para sembrar la paz en la tierra.
In the mountains of Colombia, Juan, a 13-year-old indigenous peasant boy, is forced to flee from the monster of war. In his escape, between the whistling of bullets and the guidance of his ancestors, he awakens an ancestral power that transforms him into Tuktu: a Taita of extraordinary strength destined to return to sow the peace of the earth.

Mauricio Pietro Muriel
Realizador audiovisual, artista intermedial e investigador del sonido y la imagen. Combina investigación, creación sonora experimental y producción audiovisual en Cali. Magister en Historia y profesor en la Universidad del Valle, ha trabajado en documentales de Diana Kuellar, Óscar Campo y Ernesto Salmerón. Sus obras han circulado en festivales internacionales y ha sido ganador del FDC con proyectos como Juego de palabras, 384 Instantáneas y Tuktu, Padre Maíz.
Colombian filmmaker, intermedia artist, and sound and image researcher based in Cali. He holds a Master’s degree in History and teaches at Universidad del Valle. His work blends experimental sound creation and documentary filmmaking. His films have screened at international festivals, and he has won Colombian Film Fund grants with projects such as Juego de Palabras, 384 Instantáneas, and Tuktu, Padre Maíz.
