Impulsado por una curiosidad por el conocimiento, Matthew Wolkow crea un cine revelador de las personas que conoce y de las historias que le acompañan. Situado entre el ensayo y la experimentacion, rozando lo real, lo imaginario, el habla, las palabras, la musica y las sensorialidades, su obra se beneficia de esta hibridez donde la forma se aborda como una resolucion. En octubre de 2021, la Cinematheque quebecoise proyecto su primera retrospectiva.
Driven by a curiosity for knowledge, Matthew Wolkow creates a cinema revealing the persons he meets and the stories that come along. Situated between essay and experimentation, rubbing the real, the imaginary, speech, words, music and sensorialities, his work benefits from this hybridity where form is approached as a resolution. In October 2021, the Cinémathèque québécoise screened his first retrospective.
