Chicha emerge de la tierra para su metamorfosis, y descubre que el árbol de aguacate donde nació ha sido talado; decidida a crear un bosque, deposita sus esperanzas en un retoño de aguacate, pero pronto debe enfrentar la realidad de su corta vida.
Chicha emerges from the soil for her metamorphosis, only to find the avocado tree where she was born gone. Determined to create a forest, she waits for a new tree to grow, unaware her life will be too short to see it flourish.

Sofia Uzcátegui
Sofía Uzcátegui estudió Artes Audiovisuales en la Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga. Ha dirigido los cortometrajes animados La Macabra (2022), Ojalá (2024) y su proyecto de grado Chicha la chicharra (2025). Actualmente trabaja en nuevos proyectos mientras profundiza en las posibilidades expresivas y narrativas de la animación.
Sofía Uzcátegui studied Audiovisual Arts at the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga. She has directed the animated short films La Macabra (2022), Ojalá (2024), and her thesis project Chicha la chicharra (2025). She is currently working on new projects while further exploring the expressive and narrative possibilities of animation.
