En Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, la organizacion de mujeres Poj Kaa sostiene un herbario comunitario. Los recorridos en busca de plantas son una manera de compartir conocimiento con parteras y sanadoras. En Teotitlan del Valle, la familia Ruiz hace su propio trayecto en busca de colores, que encuentran al interior de plantas e insectos y usan para teñir la lana con la que tejen tapetes. Esta pelicula hace un recorrido en el que se entretejen ambos poderes de las plantas: curar y dar color.
In Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, Oaxaca, the womens organization Poj Kaa maintains a community herbarium. Foraging for plants is a way to share knowledge with grandmothers, midwives, healers and shamans. In Teotitlan del Valle the Ruiz family makes their own journey in search of colors, which they find inside plants and insects that are used to dye the wool with which they weave rugs. Both practices involve exploring the territory, recognizing it, naming it and relating to everything in it.
