Tras la noticia de la entrega del primer carnet no binario de Chile, Gael (23) decide cambiar el suyo tambin. Los requisitos del proceso, como la necesidad de testigos y describir situaciones que le hayan provocado menoscabo, desembocan en un viaje introspectivo en el que Gael reflexiona sobre su pasado y el potencial del cuerpo. Sin embargo, el proceso se trata de un vacio legal y la abogada a cargo le dice a Gael que hay una lista de espera de meses para poder iniciar el tramite.
As Gael, a non-binary folk, watches the news of the handover of the first non-binary ID in the history of Chile, decides to get their ID changed. They will face the bureaucracy of the legal proceedings and will realize that it isn’t an official procedure but a legal subterfuge instead. The lawyer in charge tells Gael that there’s a long wait list, they must await for months to try again.
