Carlina, una niña de imaginación desbordante, se refugia en un mundo mágico junto al río para sobrellevar la enfermedad irreversible de una de sus madres. Con su amiga Millita descubre instantes de libertad y fantasía, mientras en casa sus madres enfrentan en silencio el dolor. Aunque la tristeza habita el hogar, Carlina se aferra a su universo imaginario, resistiéndose a dejar que la fantasía se desvanezca frente a una realidad que apenas comienza a comprender.
Carlina, a girl with an overflowing imagination, takes refuge in a magical world by the river to cope with the irreversible illness of one of her mothers. Together with her friend Millita, she discovers fleeting moments of freedom and fantasy, while at home her mothers silently face their grief. Though sadness inhabits the household, Carlina clings to her imaginary universe, resisting the fading of fantasy in the face of a reality she is only beginning to understand.

Directora y diseñadora de producción colombiana con más de una década en la industria cinematográfica de México y Latinoamérica. Ha colaborado con Yorgos Lanthimos (Nimic), Amat Escalante (La región salvaje), David Pablos (Las elegidas, El baile de los 41), Alejandro Landes (Monos) y Natalia López Gallardo (Manto de gemas). En 2025 estrenó su ópera prima Carlina, ganador del FDC.
Is a Colombian director and production designer with over a decade of experience in the film industry in Mexico and Latin America. She has collaborated with Yorgos Lanthimos (Nimic), Amat Escalante (The Untamed), David Pablos (The Chosen Ones, The 41 Dance), Alejandro Landes (Monos), and Natalia López Gallardo (Mantle of Gems). In 2025, she premiered her directorial debut, Carlina, winner of the FDC.
