Confundida entre la burocracia alemana y las cuestiones sobre sexualidad, Hoda, una solicitante de asilo iraní en Berlín, se encuentra emocional y sexualmente enganchada a Magdalena, quien le prometió concederle el permiso de residencia si se casaba con ella. Debido a los cambios en la vida privada de Magdalena, la decisión de casarse con Hoda se vuelve más compleja para ella.
Confused between German bureaucracy and questions about sexuality, Hoda, an Iranian asylum seeker in Berlin finds herself emotionally and sexually hooked on Magdalena, who promised to grant her stay permission by marrying her. Due to changes in Magdalena’s private life, the decision of marrying Hoda becomes more complex for her.

Su trilogía sobre la maternidad —Mother Prays All Day Long, As If Mother Cried That Night y Mother Is a Natural Sinner— se estrenó en el Festival de Cine de Locarno durante tres años consecutivos y posteriormente se proyectó en numerosos festivales. Ha sido nominada dos veces al Premio Alemán del Cortometraje.
Is an Iranian filmmaker and artist based in Berlin. Her Mother Trilogy—Mother Prays All Day Long, As If Mother Cried That Night, and Mother Is a Natural Sinner—premiered at the Locarno Film Festival over three consecutive years and was later screened at numerous other festivals. She has been nominated twice for the German Short Film Award.
