Chris Beaver is an American producer and director of documentaries about the human experience of the world around us. Beaver has directed and produced several films, including Dark Circle, Nagasaki Journey, Between Dreams and History, Tales of San Joaquin, Racing to Zero – In Pursuit of Zero Waste, Tulare – The Phantom Lake, and Recuerdo. His films have received international acclaim, such as a National Emmy Award, a Certificate of Special Merit from the Academy Awards documentary committee, and a nomination for the Pare Lorentz Award of the International Documentary Association. Additionally, Beaver has received a Guggenheim fellowship, and Grand Prize in Documentary from the Sundance Film Festival.
Judy Irving

She is a Sundance and Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker and producer, and CEO of Pelican Media. Her notable films include The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, Pelican Dreams, Dark Circle, and Cold Refuge, which have been shown in theaters, at festivals, on PBS, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Kanopy. In 2015, she was elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She studied at Connecticut College and earned a master's degree in film from Stanford, as well as a Guggenheim Fellowship. Her documentary career has explored environmental and peace issues in countries such as Alaska, Japan, and Zimbabwe, with birds featuring prominently in her work.
